The Best Açai Bowl You’ll Ever Make

Step 1  Prepare a granola bed

I like to do this first to prevent the açai mix from melting quickly. It makes the process more easy, breezy, beautiful…oh wait, that ain’t mine.

Step 2  Arrange the toppings

strawberries, pecans, bananas

I like to keep it simple so I sliced three strawberries, one banana, and chopped a handful of pecans. Hazelnut is a delicious option too.

Step 3  Melt the peanut butter

peanut butter

I’m gonna be completely honest with you… I didn’t use organic peanut butter. I used Skippy. And yes I’ve tried other healthier options but what can I say, I’m messed up. On the bright side, I bought the reduced fat version…lol.

Anyways, microwave one or two, or ten, tablespoons of peanut butter for a maximum of 10 seconds. If you feel like the PB isn’t melted all the way, give it a little stir and heat for 5 more seconds.

Step 4  Blend

Blend everything in a blender or a food processor.

A trick for easy blending is to run the Açai packet under warm water for a few second. While the mix still inside the package, break it. Then slightly smash it with the back of a knife. (So graphic and violent, I know). You will end up with chunk pieces of the açai mix instead of a huge frozen block.

almond breeze almond milk

The consistency of the açai bowl will depend on the amount of liquid you use. I like to pour about 3 to 4 tablespoons of almond milk because I don’t like it too runny.

chia seeds

When i want to have an açai bowl as breakfast I like to add a tablespoon of chia seeds into the mix for more protein.

Step 5  Assemble the bowl
